Norton Password Manager Chrome Extension - Securely Store and Manage Passwords
As an avid user of the Norton Password Manager Chrome extension, I can confidently say that it has greatly enhanced my online security and convenience. With a total rating of 3.0889649272882806 and user reviews, I was initially intrigued by the positive feedback and decided to give it a try.
Securely Store and Manage Passwords
Norton Password Manager provides a reliable solution for securely storing and managing passwords. It utilizes an encrypted vault that only you can access, ensuring the utmost privacy and protection for your sensitive information.
Password Generator and Sync Across Devices
One of the standout features of this extension is the built-in password generator. It allows you to create strong, unique passwords for all your accounts with just a few clicks. This feature alone has saved me countless hours of trying to come up with secure passwords.
Another aspect that I appreciate is the ability to sync passwords across multiple devices. Whether I'm using my laptop, smartphone, or tablet, I can easily access all my passwords without any hassle. This seamless synchronization has made my online experience much more convenient and efficient.
In addition to passwords, Norton Password Manager also allows you to store addresses and wallet information. This feature has been particularly useful when filling out online forms for shopping or other activities. I no longer have to manually enter my address or credit card details each time, saving me valuable time and effort.
Save Notes and Permissions
Another feature that sets Norton Password Manager apart is the ability to save notes. Whether it's frequent flyer numbers or important personal information, I can easily store and access these notes whenever I need them. It has become a convenient tool for keeping track of essential details in one place.
Regarding permissions, the extension requires certain permissions to function properly. These permissions allow the extension to provide password manager features, read browsing history, modify copied data, display notifications, and run in the background for quick startup times. Norton Password Manager ensures that these permissions are used responsibly and with the user's privacy in mind.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my experience with the Norton Password Manager Chrome extension has been positive overall. While there have been some reports of occasional issues from other users, I have personally found it to be a reliable and user-friendly tool for securely managing my passwords. The convenience of syncing passwords across devices, storing addresses and wallet information, and generating strong passwords has made my online activities more efficient and secure.

Why does this password manager prevent chrome from saving or updating passwords. It wasn't like that before, this is a recent change.
The password manager used to come on easily, now it does not. I have been using Norton for years and years. When you click on it, nothing happens. It should be the login screen. If you right click (which should not be necessary) and click on "Norton Password Manager" you get advertisements. Norton needs to stop the advertisements and popups and get back to making this work, work well, and taking care of the security of its existing customers, many very long-time customers, and then worry about advertising what it has perfected in a responsible way, that is not consistently obtrusive and annoying.
cant log on ,and no easy way to contact norton . i would say keep your own records .
Worked well but after 5 years or so password reset didn't work and then had to enter my key code which also didn't work so now all my passwords in one place are lost. Norton Help not very helpful. Not happy
Overall it works well and I would have liked to give this a much higher rating, but in the the absence of an important missing feature I cannot award it more than 2 stars. Essentially there is no 'time-out' setting, meaning that if you are logged into your PW manager, walk away and return in 15 mins or are distracted you are still logged in! Other PW managers have a time-out feature which will automatically lock the vault following a pre-chosen period of inactivity, such a shame Norton lacks this! I have tried contacting Norton support on more than one occasion regarding this issue to no avail. Such a shame, as otherwise its very good.
Hope this finally resolves the threats.
I can never get this to work
Just love the fact that the "Vault" disappears every time I clear the cache or reboot! YAY! When I search for "Norton Vault", I must first dig out of 6 million BUY THIS NOW strong arm sales tactics. Meh. . . . nothing seems worth that!
living in the twilight zone. trying to set up. running into dead ends. support call computer is deaf to my requests. purchased 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to install despite emails from them to me asking me to finish installation. may upgrade my post if I ever get to use it OK I am now signed up and in the system. I will edit my 1 star to 4
I can not find a phone number to call them - no not want to do via computer. They do not have one listed anywhere! I will be reconsidering my membership with them.
Please tell me you are the same dependable company I grew up with. I'm concerned about some of the on-line reviews that have been showing up on-line. Please tell me you are a hard working reliable company with me your customer your only interest.
I have read all the reviews, mainly to see if others are having the same level of frustration as I have with trying to negotiate Norton's growing maze of inanity it has become! They are!!! You had better wake up Norton because your customer base is in the act of shrinking at an ever increasing rate! I will be jumping ship as soon as I locate a useable replacement!
Norton has become a terrible company. They split every tool into a new income stream. They charge a fortune for all the tools. They constantly bombard with purchase requests for new tools They now even HIDE THE UNINSTALLATION from browser tools and force you to login to the norton webpage. I think we should all STOP USING NORTON until they become a decent company again!!!
For some reason I cannot access my vault when using Chrome. I get stuck in an endless loop telling me that I need to pin the extension to chrome. When I go thru the process of opening my vault. I do get a side message that says password manager is synced. But I cannot open the vault. I have to go separately to the website I am trying to get to and then enter the Pswd. Which will be automatically filled when I start to enter my password. I got thru to Norton after long while and eventually I was told that they couldn't help me because the software was not working. I have been a faithful user of Norton fpr ,,amy many years. I am very disappointed now. They keep asking me to add more programs but it is always costing more.. I should find another alternative.
Just my own opinion, when a fine product like Norton, begins to not work correctly, it does not matter how many downloads of the program / app that there have been. Without being able to get through to support, or when you do get through and no fix / repair can or will be done, there are very few other places to turn in an attempt to get the word to those that really need to know there is a major problem with the program / app, but for the review area of the program / app. I have trusted Norton since I first used their fine product for DOS 3, back when you had to load the program in off 3-1/2" floppy discs. (14 discs, one time). Since that first purchase, way back in the beginning of time, I have and am a paying customer, and will continue to be. It has been just this past year that a few things have come up with Norton, which need to be fixed / repaired, and I do not feel those at Norton are listening. For me it first happened with the Virus program / app, allowing a malware to get into my computer, which Norton deemed safe. (Much more to that, but I am here about the Password Manager). Second, has been the past month and half, with the Password Manager. Mostly since all the sites have started switching over to the two factor log in. The Manager has not been allowing me and others to log into the Vault. Yes we trust Norton, that is why we all use it. And when there is a problem, even if there has not been a single complaint / negative feedback ever, that will be the time when you will hear from someone that otherwise will have never gave any feedback, good or bad. For me, I have given plenty of great feedback over the years, and still do, but have needed to give some negative feedback at this time, in the hope something gets done. I just would like everything to work and do what it is suppose too. I have way to many passwords in the Norton Password Manager to remember. The days of using the same password for everything are long gone, and I do not wish to go back to keeping a note book with all the sign-on's and passwords in it. That is just one of the many reasons I use the Norton Password Manager. I like everything about the program / app, but it does need some repair / fix at the current time ... so yes I am making a negative about it, yes I am complaining. The squeaky wheel gets the oil .... metaphor works here! (Or one would hope and cross fingers that it does).
I am beyond frustrated. Like a few others, I have not been able to log in to my Password Vault. Keeps telling me my username or password is invalid with no way to reset it. I have a password hint but apparently I have forgotten what that hint means. This is simply not okay as I pay good money for Norton/Lifelock Premier service and this is anything but premier service.
I am so upset! I have not been able to log in to any of my saved sites. I keep getting an error saying the username/password is invalid! I tried calling Norton, but the number on the website is "not in service." I want my money back and switching to McAfee!
